Heavy Lift Cranes Get a Lift from New Websites: Charleston, SC and Savannah, GA

Colophon began providing web design and development services to Stevens Towing back in 2007. The success of the company's main website led Stevens to come back to Colophon to develop a website for their "Heavy Lift Crane" service.

The 'Charleston Giant' is a floating crane, capable of lifting 500 tons. Cranes like this are rare in the region, but in high demand for a variety of marine projects.

Colophon created the original Charleston Heavy Lift website showcasing the capabilities of the service and how to contract the crane.

In 2013, Stevens Towing added an additional crane based out of the Port of Savannah, GA. To launch the new crane, the company decided to create and new Savannah Heavy Lift website.

In an effort to create brand continuity between the two services, a plan was put in place to redesign the Charleston Heavy Lift website with the same design theme as the new Savannah service

Working from designs created by Gil Shuler Design of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Colophon developed and launched two "responsive" websites that work smoothly across all platforms including mobile phones.

The websites are hosted at a state-of-the-art data center and supported and maintained by Colophon's responsive staff.
