 The Company

Patriot Art Foundation (PAF) is an organization founded by world renowned water color artist Mary Whyte. The organization provides free education and materials to veterans seeking to use art a pathway to a healthier more meaningful life.

 The Challenge

The foundation had an old website that was not serving their needs. The look and feel was dated, and the method of updating the website was cumbersome – relying on a one person with an FTP connection. Colophon was tasked with creating an attractive new website with a strong brand image, and provide a content management system (CMS) that would allow easy and rapid updates.

 The Process

Colophon worked with PAF to first consider what the website was intended to do. Early planning was critical to identifying the best way to serve the veteran community. Once the main features where nailed down, Colophon got to work gathering assets for the website build and planning of the design.

 The Solution

The design process included a number of revisions until the look and feel was approved, and then the work moved to the programming phase. Once the custom WordPress theme was programmed, content management tools were installed and all of the content was added to the website. Final optimizations for speed and SEO were completed and the website was rolled out.
