 The Company

Modern Minds is a Charleston-based organization focusing on holistic approaches to healthcare for their individual & business clients with a variety of services to optimize both physical & mental wellness through a modern lens.

 The Challenge

Modern Minds needed a fresh, new website design with all new content with a hard deadline fast approaching – a 200+ stakeholder website orientation on the schedule. Colophon New Media was ready and accepted the challenge!

 The Process

The Modern Minds partnered with the excellent agency out of Columbia, SC, truematter, to create their brand new design. From there, the Colophon team worked with truematter to turn the design into a reality by programming the pages into a custom WordPress theme.

The site required several key features – a dynamic Contact form to ensure their website audience could be provided the proper service based on their profile at first contact, and blog search filtering and categorization to create a top notch user experience when browsing Modern Minds’ ample informational materials on health, wellness, and the like.

All of the tasks had to be performed quickly. It was all hands on deck to make sure the site shared at the website orientation was a final product in a short turnaround.

 The Solution

The result was a top-performing, responsive website that crossed the finish line in time – the new Modern-Minds.com!

The Modern Minds, truematter, and Colophon teams all collaborated at a fast pace to not only meet the deadline, but create the highest quality website we could. Julio Godoy, Colophon’s lead UX developer, put in a herculean effort to create a responsive custom WordPress theme that matched truematter’s design thought & met the customer’s goals.

In tandem, the Colophon backend development team, led by Irena Petrovska, developed and rigorously tested the highly complex Contact form at speed, full of intricate logic that served the right recommendations to the customer every time. Likewise, Irena and the team developed the site blog search & categorization functions so the Modern Minds website can go the extra mile for their customers as they review their health & wellness articles.

The website orientation was a success, with Modern Minds reporting great feedback across the board on the useability, structure, and informational content throughout the site. A big thanks to the Modern Minds and truematter teams for such a great project!
