BASELINE: A Sasser Studio

March 25, 2025 — Colophon recently unveiled a dynamic, inviting new website for boutique Charleston fitness studio BASELINE: A Sasser Studio.

BASELINE, which is home to a vibrant clientele that benefits from tailored private and group training classes at its gorgeous studio on Broad Street (just blocks from the Ashley River), now has a slick website to match its state-of-the-art downtown Charleston facility.

 

 The Company

BASELINE: A Sasser Studio has been one of top gyms in the Charleston area since it opened its doors in The Jasper retail/residential complex back in June of 2022.

Founder Taylor Sasser’s studio emphasis on culture, small classes (a strict client-to-trainer ratio of 6:1 — or fewer) to maximize attention for each client and varied workouts has helped attract a growing membership of satisfied members.

Everything that makes this boutique studio special is now immediately apparent to visitors of BASELINE’s stylish new black-and-white website.

 The Challenge

The emphasis of this project, which could not have been completed without invaluable contributions from Charleston agency Momentum Marketing, was design, as the top goal was to convey the values of BASELINE.

The end result reflects as much, effectively embodying BASELINE’s values of togetherness and teamwork while highlighting the unique SASSER Training Method (Symbiotic, Adaptable, Sound, Sustainable), which meets fitness enthusiasts of all levels where they are when they walk into the studio.

 The Process

After receiving BASELINE’s brief spelling out its vision for the new website, Colophon and local partner Momentum Marketing immediately got to work on the new online home for BASELINE.

A modern, black-and-white design was one of the core points of emphasis, but Colophon and Momentum Marketing also went to great lengths to ensure that the site featured everything a high-end gym needs in 2025.

That includes a beautiful homepage featuring a front-and-center “Book Your Consultation” CTA button, high-quality images showing BASELINE coaches and members hard at work, text spelling out exactly what the studio offers, and — last but not least — a 40-second “Welcome to BASELINE” YouTube video.

 The Solution

Outstanding, easy-to-navigate design and a consistently excellent look are not the only qualities of the new BASELINE website. Additional features include links to BASELINE’s Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn and Instagram pages, plus a number of landing pages dedicated to:

  • Our Team: All the info you need to know about the trainers and staff members who will be helping you on your fitness journey is displayed here, including professional headshots of each staff member.
  • Services: Provides details on the process members undergo, starting with a personalized evaluation, plus in-depth explanations of BASELINE’s expansive offering, from private small groups to private medium groups to open groups, squad training and more.
  • News: A strong showcase of BASELINE’s blog.
  • Sign Up: A handy page where prospective members can quickly provide the information BASELINE needs to get their first class on the books.
  • Contact: Provides email addresses for anyone who needs to get in touch with membership questions, or general inquiries, plus a phone number for anyone wishing to call or text the studio.
