About Scenic Custom Homes

Founder Curt Wegner founded what is now known as Scenic Custom Homes in 2018 after a long, successful tenure as Charleston division president for a regional homebuilder. The company quickly became a respected name in the Lowcountry. 

Leveraging both his understanding of the area he has called home since 2005 and his two decades of home-building experience, Wegner needed little time to make Curtis Daniel Homes a major factor in Charleston and beyond.

Wegner recently approached Colophon New Media with a clear mission: to rebrand the company as Scenic Custom Homes and reflect a renewed focus on “Surpassing the Ordinary.”

A rebrand is always a dynamic challenge, and Scenic Custom Homes’ project was no exception. The primary goal was to redefine the company’s image and communicate its commitment to delivering bespoke, top-tier custom homes. This required more than just a new logo—it involved reshaping the entire brand persona.

In addition, Colophon crafted the press release spelling out the finer points of the new brand identity of Scenic Custom Homes.

Following an in-depth interview with Wegner that helped us articulate his unique vision, the press release announcing the rebrand emphasized SCH’s unwavering commitment to crafting beautiful, high-quality custom homes while maintaining the passion and precision that has made Curtis Daniel Homes a proven commodity.
