 The Company

Bert’s Market tag line says it all:
“Patronized by freaks, surfers, skaters, crunks, retirees, tourists, stoners, day trippers, hippies, hipsters, and regular folk., Bert’s is the rockingest grocery in town.”

As a Folly Beach icon, the market is a wonderful place to meet, eat and have a laugh with tourists and locals alike.

 The Challenge

While Bert’s has always had an avid following and strong brand identity for those who know it, its web presence for online visitors was lacking. The legacy website was attractive but not well maintained, was not optimized for its search market, and was missing key features. The goal of the website re-design was to improve customer service by creating a fresh new look and feel that represented the Bert’s brand well, and to provide quick and easy access to key information that Folly Beach visitors would need. The website would also need a shopping cart, an easily updated food menu system, and a way to advertise job openings.
