 The Company

Started in 1999 by Anja Stief, Dish & Design has grown into a team of talented chefs and event specialists providing catering services for corporate events, weddings, social events, as well as providing family meals.

 The Challenge

Originally Dish and Design came to Colophon to provide website hosting. The legacy website was reviewed, migrated to Colophon and optimized. While a bit outdated, it provided several years of service to the company until they decided to upgrade their brand and website in 2020.  This coincided with a desire to integrate online ordering in what turned out to be an absolute necessity during the Covid-19 Pandemic.

 The Process

Colophon started with a logo redesign project that went through several creative rounds until they landed on a version that captured everything the owners wanted in their new look. Simple and carefree, the logo provided a basis in color and form for a new website. Using the WordPress platform, Colophon designed a custom theme for Dish & Design, and installed a full set of features to control the content via the WordPress CMS.

The next phase of the development was focused on integrating online ordering using the Zuppler platform and its related plugin for WordPress. Colophon worked directly with the Zuppler technical team to create a fully-integrated online ordering system for the Dish & Design menu items.

 The Solution

The website is fully mobile-responsive and is programmed to be fast and easy to use on all devices. It is hosted on a business-grade WordPress-specialized server and protected by a security suite. The website in backed by unlimited support that handles any potential problems or issues.
